Team Verse: “Let your light shine so others will see the good that you do and will praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
This ministry began in the Fall of 2002 with 10 puppeteers and 10 puppets. Presently, this ministry has 2 teams: Jr. Team consisting of 4th through 6th graders and Sr. Team consisting of 7th through 12th graders. Adults are called in to assist the teams as needed.
The Jr. Team performs in Sunday morning worship services several times per year.
The Sr. Team is our outreach team. Performances and events include:
- Breakfast with Santa and the Puppets, a family friendly activity with a puppet show held the first Saturday in December.
- Character show for the 4th and 5th graders at Wesclin Middle School, typically in late April.
- Performances in other venues are scheduled as requested.
- We have a variety of shows that include black light puppetry, Christian and secular messages.
Mission Statement: As a ministry of the First United Methodist Church in Trenton, IL, the Miniature Ministers Puppet Ministry goes out into the world with a servant’s heart to share the Gospel of Christ through the use of puppets and other creative arts.
